Ready-to-Lay: Silver Lace Wyandotte
These lacy girls are not all show with their elegantly patterned feathers. They are also great egg layers. Wyandottes are one of the most strikingly beautiful chickens to grace a backyard flock. Developed in New York, they are quiet, easy to manage, and one of the most winter-hardy of all breeds. Pick-up for all Ready-to-Lay birds will be on February 15, 2025 at Russell Feed & Supply in Saginaw from 8AM - 10AM. At this time, your hen(s) will be 18 weeks of age which is when most hens lay their first egg. In their first year, you can expect up to 200-250 large brown eggs from high-producing, well-fed laying hens.
From the time you purchase your chicks you will be sent weekly updates on the progress of your chicks, videos of their growth, as well as tips and tricks to prepare you for their homecoming.
